The 2007 Phoenix Film Festival will run April 12 - 19,
2007 in the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area. The Phoenix Film Festival
is the largest attended festival in Arizona with over 18,000 attendees
in 2006 and featured tributes to such guests as Laurence Fishburne and
Robert Wagner. Celebrity Guests included Jason Mewes, Melissa Joan Hart,
David Fausion, Stephen Bauer and Danny Trejo, and featured Arizona Premieres
of "Akeelah and the Bee", "Hard Candy", “Lucky
Number Slevin”, “American Dreamz”, and "Take
the Lead".

Opening Night Event
In the biggest theatre we can find, we host a huge cocktail party that
leads you into the biggest independent film premiere in the state. Films
such as "Confidence", "Saved!", "Happy Endings",
and “Akeelah and The Bee” have traditionally opened the
festival, with filmmakers and actors on board for intros and Q&A
with audience members.
Educational Outreach Program
The morning session is for Middle-school and High-School Students from
across Arizona, who participate in a variety of seminars throughout
the morning and early afternoon, including screenings of the Grade School
/ High School Competition Program. Click on the Education tab for more
information.
Film Screenings begin at 9 am for the public. Enjoy
the finest in independent film all day long.
Friday Night Bash - Be prepared to start the partying,
as the Friday Night Bash kicks off the weekend's festivities!
More screenings: Five screens start
screening at 9 am until 1 am, with Seminars and Workshops during the
day in the big tent.
VIP Reception
If you buy a VIP pass, you have a chance to mingle with the celebrities
and filmmakers in a casual setting.
Saturday Night Party
The biggest party of the Festival. You can’t miss this one!
Film Screenings begin at 9 am and run
until 9 pm.
Sunday Night Party - We close out the weekend with
yet another party, and also announce the winners of the Copper Wing
Awards, the Festival's prestigious Competition Awards
Educational Outreach continues
Producing and Directing: The morning session is for Middle-school and
High-School Students from across Arizona is specifically focused on
producting and directing short films.

winners all week long plus some new Arizona premieres.

Students from across Arizona is specifically focused on screenplay writing
with an intensive workshop day with the Arizona Screenwriters Association.

Acting for the Camera: The morning session is for Middle-school and
High-School Students from across Arizona is specifically focused on
acting, with professional film actors and Casting Directors and Agents
discussing acting.

Closing Night Event starts at 7:30: A final big screening
with celebrity Filmmakers and a big film to close out the 6th annual
Phoenix Film Festival.
Closing Night Party following the 7:30 film: We will be "Calling it a Wrap" with a big Thursday Night Bash - giving you one last chance to enjoy the festival! Stay out late and call in to work sick the next day! After all, the Phoenix Film Festival only comes around once a year.
