It’s
that time of year again! The Phoenix Film Festival is looking for fellow
movie-lovers to volunteer for the upcoming festival! The PFF is returning
to the Harkins Scottsdale off the 101 and will be held April 12-19,
2007. We’ve extended the original festival by 4 additional days
to give everyone the opportunity to see showcase films they may have
missed during the first 4 days of the festival.
We
are looking for enthusiastic people in the following areas:
Ticketing; Theatre operations; Volunteer check-in; Expo booths; Educational outreach; Filmmaker liaison; Events & Merchandising. Volunteers with technical experience are also encouraged to apply. There are also several opportunities for people to commit their volunteer hours prior to the festival. There will be promotional events; screenings and street teams to market the festival. We’ll also need people to help with moving; set-up and clean up as well as volunteers to help in the Phoenix Film Festival office.
In
exchange for their commitment of 24 hours, volunteers will receive a
festival t-shirt and a full festival pass (excludes the opening night
screening).
Volunteer Orientations will take place at the Phoenix Film Foundation offices located in the Metro Arts Institute, 1700 N, 7^th Ave Suite 250. The building is on the NW corner of 7^th Avenue and McDowell. Orientations have been scheduled for:
Sunday,
April 1st at noon
Orientation lasts about an hour and you will have the opportunity to schedule the shifts you like to volunteer. If you want to be a part of Arizona’s Premier Arts event, please email volunteer@phxfilm.com for more information.
See you at the festival!
