The Phoenix Film Foundation is dedicated to promoting diversity and education in the arts, elevating underrepresented voices, and driving the growth of independent film in Arizona. Through film showcases and accessible educational initiatives, we cultivate a vibrant, inclusive cinematic community, utilizing it as a catalyst for personal growth, creative expression, and positive social change.
Help Us Raise $40K in 40 Days
On May 2, the Phoenix Film Foundation lost a critical funding source from the National Endowment for the Arts. These changes, part of several sweeping cuts to public arts and media funding, has real and immediate consequences for our community, impacting the programs that educate students, support filmmakers, and bring independent film to Arizona audiences. While the future of the NEA is uncertain, we know this: our mission to educate, celebrate, and connect through film is more vital than ever. Film connects us. Film challenges us. Film builds community. We’re asking our community to step up.
We remain fully committed to our mission. But we need your help to continue building the vibrant, inclusive film community our state deserves. We’re not giving up—and we hope you won’t either.
Why It Matters
For over two decades, the Phoenix Film Foundation has nurtured emerging filmmakers, inspired young storytellers through education, and brought powerful, diverse films to Arizona audiences. The loss of federal support is a blow—but it’s one we believe we can recover from with the help of our community.
We’re aiming to raise $40,000 in 40 days to keep our mission on track.
